Trim Levels
The 2020 Hyundai Palisade is available in three trim packages including the SE, SEL, and Limited. All models feature LED daytime running lights, a roof-mounted center high-mount stop light, automatic headlights, and high beam assist. Privacy glass and an acoustic-laminated windshield create a quiet, comfortable cabin space. The SEL and Limited also feature roof rails and side mirrors with LED turn-signal indicators. The SE and SEL have 18-inch alloy wheels, while the Limited features 20-inch alloy wheels.
Engine
All models are equipped with a powerful 291-horsepower, 3.8-liter, six-cylinder engine that produces a whopping 262 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission that includes SHIFTRONIC manual shift mode. Front-wheel drive is standard on all models with an available all-wheel-drive option. Idle Stop and Go is a standard feature on all Palisade engines.
Performance
If you do a lot of driving, you will love the gas-sipping Palisade lineup. Front-wheel-drive models have an EPA-estimated fuel efficiency of 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. All-wheel-drive models have similar ratings at 19 mpg city and 24 mpg highway. When properly equipped, the 2020 Palisade can tow a maximum of 5,000 pounds. All Palisades are pre-wired for trailer hook up and include trailer sway control. The Palisade provides ample cargo room. Eighteen cubic feet of space is available behind the third row of seats, 45.8 cubic feet behind the second row, and 86.4 cubic feet behind the front seats.
Interior
Depending on the cabin configuration, the 2020 Hyundai Palisade can comfortably seat seven or eight passengers. Cloth upholstery is standard on the SE and SEL models. The Limited features premium Nappa leather. Heated front seats are standard on the SEL. All seats in the Limited are heated and ventilated. The second and third row of seats on the SE and SEL are 60/40 split-folding. Captain's chairs are standard in the second row of the Limited and available as an option on the SEL. The second row of every Palisade slides to allow easy access to the third row of seats. The standard underfloor storage compartment provides lots of cabin storage. The Palisade is loaded with standard infotainment features. All models are equipped with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a rearview camera, rear-seat quiet mode, first and second-row USB ports, Bluetooth hands-free with wireless audio streaming, and a 12-volt outlet. The Limited also includes a 115-volt power outlet. An 8-inch touch-screen display is standard on all SE and SEL models. The Limited bumps up to a 10.25-inch color touch screen with integrated navigation and traffic. Music lovers will love the 630-watt Harmon Kardon premium audio system found in the Limited.
Safety Features
Every Palisade features Hyundai's advanced suite of air bags including driver's knee bag and side-curtain bags with rollover sensors. Standard driver-assist technology includes rear-occupant alert, forward collision-avoidance assist, pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, and driver attention warning. Anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, traction control, brake assist, and vehicle stability management are also standard.
