This engine delivers 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. The Elantra Eco has a 1.4-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that gets 128 horsepower and 156 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with the seven-speed EcoShift transmission with SHIFTRONIC.
The Elantra Sport features a turbocharged inline four-cylinder 1.6-liter engine that offers 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. Like the Eco model, it’s also paired with the seven-speed transmission.
The Elantra’s base engine, the 2.0-liter, delivers 31 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway, which is already great gas mileage. The Eco model offers even greater efficiency at 33 mpg in the city. The Sport model functions with a lower gas mileage of 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.
