Flagstaff, AZ, is an attractive, welcoming mid-sized town surrounded by pristine pine forests and dramatic mountain scenery. The town’s lively local residents enjoy organizing top-notch festivals and other community activities that draw in visitors from all over the state, especially during summer. Here are four terrific summer activities to attend this year in Flagstaff.

4th of July Festival

Flagstaff’s 4th of July festivities have been rated among the ten best small-town 4th of July celebrations in the entire nation by the Travel Channel. The town throws an unforgettable event with a breathtaking multicolored laser light show that can be seen for miles around.

Starting at 5 pm, Fort Tuthill County Park is filled with live music, food trucks, and thousands of people having a blast. The parade is also quite something to see. You can find the park at 2446 Fort Tuthill Loop.

Downtown Community Market

From mid-June onward, you can peruse a wonderful variety of farm-fresh food and dishes alongside the creations of local artists at the Downtown Community Market. The market is mostly spread along Aspen Avenue and in Heritage Square, where you’ll find dozens of stalls filled with goodies in a friendly, jovial atmosphere.

After you’ve visited once, you’re bound to return to this excellent market time and again throughout the summer. You can park your brand-new 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy AWD nearby and fill up its enormous 36.4 cubic-foot boot with enough produce to stock your pantry at home.

Flagstaff Pro Rodeo

If you’re in Flagstaff from June 8th to 10th, don’t miss one of Arizona’s most thrilling events: the Flagstaff Pro Rodeo. Expert cowboys and cowgirls from all over America come here to compete and demonstrate breathtaking feats of skill and bravery in steer wrestling, bull riding, barrel racing, and more.

The rodeo kicks off with a magnificent parade. This rodeo provides a perfect example of the region’s best cowboy heritage and traditions that date back to the Wild West days. The rodeo is also held in Fort Tuthill County Park at 2446 Fort Tuthill Loop.

Art in the Park Festival

For the more artistic among you, there’s a lovely outdoor arts and crafts festival at the beginning of July named Flagstaff Art in the Park. Here, you’ll find excellent art from over 70 local artists on display along with live music, fresh food, and places to enjoy a refreshing beverage.

As it’s held from July 1st to 3rd, this cheerful, artsy park festival is a great precursor to your July 4th celebrations. You’ll find it in the peaceful, tree-shaded Wheeler Park at 212 West Aspen Avenue. While enjoying a memorable, fun-filled summer, visit Oxendale Hyundai.
