The 2020 Hyundai Kona Can't Be Beaten Hyundai has done it again, and other manufacturers are taking notice of the 2020 Hyundai Kona. This small SUV is built for big adventures. It has plenty of power, versatility, and technology to take you anywhere your expedition takes you. Here’s a look at the best features on the new Kona you’re sure to love.

Curb Appeal

Whether you’re standing on the curb in the city, or standing on the shore of your favorite remote river, the Hyundai Kona looks the same. Its angular front fascia with daytime running LED headlights, available fog lamps, and black mesh grille give it a fierce look.

Smooth lines and soft curves give the Kona an athletic stance. Alloy wheels sparkle and LED taillights shine as it drives away. Even the colors call for adventure. Choose from unique paints like Surf Blue, Sunset Orange and Thunder Gray.

Performance

The standard engine in the Kona is Hyundai’s 2.0-liter MPI inline four-cylinder motor with dual overhead cams (DOHC) and 16 valves with Continuously Variable Valve Timing (D-CVVT) technology. When mated to the Shiftronic six-speed automatic transmission this powertrain gets 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque.

You can upgrade to the 1.6-liter turbocharged GDI inline four-cylinder engine. It also features DOHC and 16 valves with D-CVVT technology. This motor is paired with a seven-speed EcoShift dual clutch transmission. The result is an impressive 175 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque.

Available all-wheel drive with selectable drive modes give you control over the road. This smart technology delivers power to the wheels that need it most, while the selectable drive modes let you dial in your Kona’s performance to match the surface you’re riding on.

Technology

The Head Up Display projects important information right onto the windshield, keeping you informed while keeping your eyes on the road. The 8-inch color touch screen with navigation lets you access all your favorite apps. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability allow you to send and receive calls and texts, get your favorite music, and more hands-free.

The rearview mirror now features HomeLink technology. You can control your garage door and more with the push of a button on your mirror. Blue Link connectivity allows you to connect your smartphone with your vehicle. Simply download the app and you can remotely lock, unlock and start your vehicle.

Driver-Assist Technology

Cars are smarter than every and your Kona can be equipped with a variety of driver-assist technologies designed to keep you safer while driving. A Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection system uses cameras and radar to monitor the road ahead. If it detects a potential collision you are alerted with visual and audio cues. Should you fail to react the system will apply emergency braking.

The Blind Spot Collision Warning system uses optical sensors to monitor your blind spots, alerting you when a vehicle enters them or when making a lane change. Lane Keeping Assist monitors your Kona within marked lanes, alerting you when it detects a drift. It will even apply gentle steering correction to return you to your lane.

You really can’t beat the 2020 Hyundai Kona. Come test drive one today, and see why.
