Trim Levels
The Kona has five trim levels, plus an all-electric version, that are sure to have the features you've been looking for. They include the SE, SEL, SEL Plus, Limited, and Ultimate. Standard across all trim levels you'll find LED daytime running lights, automatic headlights, body-color exterior mirrors, body-color door handles, and solar glass. Front fog lights are only available on the upper trims, as is a shark fin antennae and a power tilt-and-slide sunroof. For LED head and taillights, you'll have to opt for the two highest trim levels as well.
Engine
You'll find two different engine options available under the hood of the Kona. The first one comes standard on the SE, SEL, and SEL Plus trims. It's a 2.0-liter DOHC inline-4 engine that provides drivers with 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. The other comes standard on the Limited and Ultimate trims and is a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine that puts out 175 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. Paired to the first option is a SHIFTTRONIC six-speed automatic transmission, while the second engine comes with a seven-speed EcoShift dual-clutch transmission.
Performance
Take your Hyundai Kona on any adventure. It has independent front suspension featuring MacPherson struts with coil springs, both front and back gas-pressurized shock absorbers, and is made of high tensile steel, meaning you can enjoy a comfortable ride behind solid construction. Front-wheel drive is standard across all trims, but feel free to upgrade to all-wheel drive if you'd like even better performance from your Kona.
Interior
There are plenty of comfort and convenience features inside the cabin that will make you wish your drive lasted just a little bit longer. For top-notch quality and comfort, you'll want to opt for the Limited or Ultimate trims. At this level you'll find leather seating, an eight-way power driver's seat, heated front seats, automatic temperature control, and more. Other great interior features include a rear window defroster, an external temperature display, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. Technology is a necessary part of life in today's world and Hyundai hasn't left anything out on the Kona where this is concerned.
